The New Interactive Assistant for the College of Nursing in Florida

The College of Nursing of the University of South Florida, in cooperation with the Morrow Technologies company, had installed an interactive touchscreen on its campus. It should serve as a guide to the employees, the students and the visitors.

The device helps people with the orientation at the college, enables sending messages, searching the employee database or to connect to the “Urban Spoon” website. Moreover there is an actualized calendar of upcoming events, the weather forecast and a link to watching the university buses called “Bull Run” online.

The dean Dianne Morrison-Beedy appreciates the fact that the device contributed to a welcome change in the communication with the internal client. She is also very proud of the fact that they are the first college of the University of South Florida with this progressive technology.

The result of the collaboration of the University and Morrow Technologies is the setting up of the touchscreen with the functional operating system which caused a very positive reception. The College of Nursing believes that they can introduce the interactive device into the other colleges of the University and thus create a unified communication system.
